The A'Jah Davis Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and young adults in the DeKalb, Illinois, area with mentoring and other programs. 

We strive to support every child, teen and young adult in our community, including those considered to be disadvantaged or at-risk. Our goal is to help them become more responsible, accountable and capable of making healthier lifestyle choices.

We offer opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Our Partners

Founder and CEO A’Jah Davis

An emerging leader in education, A'Jah Davis has deep ties to the DeKalb community. She created the foundation in 2024, recognizing the need for a local organization dedicated to helping youth. The initiative reflects her commitment to creating pathways for the next generation to succeed in academics and athletics.

Davis holds a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University and is pursuing a master’s degree in higher education administration. She excelled in the classroom and on the basketball court during her college career at NIU and Seton Hall, earning multiple Mid-American Conference All-Academic team selections, First Team All-Athletic honors and other recognitions.

A current varsity basketball coach at DeKalb High School, Davis also has experience as a professional athlete, including playing for Pioneras de Delicias in Mexico.
